Bellwood Mennonite Church celebrated the 50 ^th Anniversary of worshipping together on June 7 & 8. The celebration began on Saturday afternoon with a social hour, followed by a banquet. There were many pictures for the participants to enjoy depicting the 50 years of being a church.

Following the evening meal a special program was enjoyed by many. There were musical numbers as well as reminiscing of the past years.

Sunday began with a worship hour at 10:00. Past pastor, Orlan Koehn led the worship service. Hymn of praise that were sang 50 years ago were also sang together; ``To God Be The Glory'' and ``Lord I Lift Your Name On High.'' Other hymns that were enjoyed 50 years ago, as well as now, were ``I am Thine Oh Lord,'' ``What A Friend We Have In Jesus,'' ``My Jesus, I Love Thee.''

Childrens Moments were given by Betta Kym as she reflected on how members had used their Praying Feet to begin Bellwood. Sharing joys and concerns was led by past pastor, Marlin Kym.

Past Pastor, Herb Yoder spoke on ``Doing a New Thing'' followed by Pastor Dave reflecting on the same theme. A special choir was led by Dee Goertzen as they sang ``Walking and Talking.'' Conference Minister, Sharon Kennel gave the benediction.

Following the worship service a noon luncheon was enjoyed by all. A new sign dedication was held, along with many ``remember whens.''

Oldest Church Charter Member, Clarence Stauffer holds Landon Roth, youngest baby at Bellwood Mennonite Church. Landon is the son of Tony & Jodi Roth.
